Musing Monday – July 1st

MusingMondays5Hosted by Should Be Reading @ http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/2013/07/01/musing-mondays-july-1/

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• Describe one of your reading habits. • Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s). • What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it! • Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it. • Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us! • Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

This week my muse is about a book I bought recently. Since I don’t actually buy a lot of books with my review TBR list growing daily – it takes something special for me to see something and have to get it immediately! This book is one of those scenerios..

Last week I was participating in an online tournament between hot guys in fiction of 2013, and the competetion was between Matt from “Flat Out Love” and this guy – from “Rule” – and after reading all the fan girls spewing love about him, I had to check it out. The reviews were so good for the book and the guy seemed so hot in a “bad boy” type of way that I suddenly HAD to have it – so here it is.. I’m reading something else now, but this is my next read after that. Best news of all is if I like this one, there is a second book in the series out already – The Marked Men Series. Here’s the book below:

By Jay Crownover

So – check it out today. If you’re looking for a Travis Maddox type character…or..Jace from the Mortal Instruments series – basically a bad guy who falls hard I think this is the book for you, but don’t take my word yet — Once I read it I’ll be happy to provide my honest opinion as always!

Happy Monday!

Hello Readers! And Happy Friday! Today is my first time parcitipating in my Friday finds and I did have a few good ones this week.  I’ll list them below – but i’m excited to hear what did you find too?

For this week my finds were The Blackstone Affair, Ten Tiny Breaths (have to read before the sequel comes out soon!), The Summer I Became A Nerd, Our Song, and The Distance Between Us, and OCD Love Story. I felt like there were so many more this week – but these are the top of my “new read material” list for right now. So let’s check them out!

Naked (The Blackstone Affair, #1)Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1)The Summer I Became a NerdOur SongThe Distance Between UsOCD Love Story

This is just a small sampling of the new books added to my list this week. If i don’t stop fast – my list will be longer than… well let’s just say way too long!

I thought I would pull one quote randomly from one book just as as teaser and of course as I read/review – be sure to check that out!

So here’s the quote — ta da! From Ten Tiny Breaths –

“Just breathe. Ten tiny breaths … Seize them. Feel them. Love them.”
—                  K.A. Tucker                  (Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1))

“I don’t hate you. I could never hate you. Give me your heart, Kacey. I’ll take everything that comes with it.”
—                  K.A. Tucker                  (Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1))

Just from those quotes, I know I want to read that book and it has just escalated itself from my list on my Kindle/etc. I am in the middle of two books with two in the wings, well 3, but now this one takes the cake – it may even be next. So thanks to http://shaninsanfran.wordpress.com/ for reccommending this – can’t wait to discuss with you – she is one of my newest friends in Blogland and if nothing else this week – I have found that great begining of a friendship!

Happy Friday Everyone – read on and let me know what you’re reading too!
