Monday Musings… September 23rd

MusingMondays5 Hosted by Should Be Reading @ http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/2013/09/23/musing-mondays-sept-23/

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• Describe one of your reading habits. • Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s). • What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it! • Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it. • Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us! • Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

—————————

Today I want to “muse” about the Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan. WOW. If you haven’t read it, I highly reccomend reading it asap – my full review will be up today hope you will check it out!

Anyway, the series.. I have not been so emotionally entangled with characters in a story in I don’t know when – I literally was dying to see what would happen and the ends of each of the two books were insane – I am kind of glad in a way I waited until they were all out so I woudln’t have to wait because I think if I did have to wait I may have gone nuts..seriously!

I don’t want to go on and on, but i just loved it and I hope you will consider checking it out – it’s a trilogy and they are all on Amazon now.

My other question to my fellow bloggers is about the review – I want to write the review of the series since I read it all at once – what is your thought on this? Have you ever done it before? I just can’t see myself separating out each individual book now that I have the whole picture presented by the series — so tell me what you think?? Love to hear some feedback here!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I’m not sure what to muse about today to be honest – so I’m just going to “vent” a little – speak up if you can understand where I’m coming from…

Blogging was something I started for fun and to get books early so I could review and get the word out to everyone else – it also helps support my book habit..

I have been on a whiz lately – Reading like a crazy woman, but now I have the question – how do I get all of these books reviewed? I read 5 books within the past week (It was a crazy reading week – not normal) but now I’m faced trying to get these things reviewed and to be fair to everyone that allowed me to read early in exhcange for these reviews.. Hmm… Plus I do have a full time job – which pays my bills so kidn of have to respect that.

Anyway, having too many books to read, reading too many great books is never something I complain about but the busier the blog becomes it’s hard to sometimes manage my time – what do you think? Do you set aside days just for reviews, review right after you read something? How do you make it work – always open for advise!!

Happy Monday!

Monday Musing – July 29th

I was thinking all morning what I would muse about today — and I”m coming up empty handed… So I think I will gush about the new Book Tour site i’m starting to participate in and how awesome it is! I’m not sure if you all are familiar with Around the World ARC Tours – but if you have a blog and keep it updated with new content you can sign up to read/review books you mail from one reader to the next. This has given me a chance to get a lot of the larger name books that I could not have gotten myself probaby – so it’s super exciting. I didn’t realize how much I missed actually holding and having a paperback book – so many of mine are Ebooks that I get from Netgalley/etc and while that is super convenient and I love it, holding the actual book is nice too – just the smell of books, I know that sounds nuts..but it reminds me of why i love reading so much.

I’m on my 4th book right now and I have about 4 more on the way at this point and just really enjoying it. The site is run super well – you get the book, have 1 week to read and 1 to review, so you arn’t crunched for time – but it keeps you on target too and the schedule moving. I think it’s just a great opportunity, especially for those of us who are newer to blogging and don’t get ARC’s from the publishers themselves.. If you want to participate to check it out I’ll post the link below —

Anyway from the 4 books I’ve received so far – 3 have been great and 1 was a will not review (subject was NOT what I thought it would be at all).. You get 5 chances to not review a book each year and it resets in October I think..

Anyway – instead of book gushing today, I thought I’d gush about this and the amazing opportunity it is for anyone who wants to check it out!

Happy Monday!

Here’s the link: http://aroundtheworldarctours.wordpress.com/

Check it out – you never know –and if you get a lot of review ARC’s in paperback and want to share – we would love it and it’s very easy to do that too!!

WWW Wednesday’s – Check out what I’m reading now and next!

WWW_Wednesdays4Hosted by Should Be Reading @ http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/2013/07/24/www-wednesdays-july-24/

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading? • What did you recently finish reading? • What do you think you’ll read next?

———

This is one of my favorite weekly events – I love seeing what everyone else is reading and what they are going to read — so check my list out!

1. What am I Currently reading?

The Infinite Moment of Usby Lauren Myracle

I’m about 55% into the book and I have enojoyed it – we shall see how the ending plays out here.. Right now it’s not a huge page turner, but I could see this being a good mindless summer read – with great romantic moments — tune in for my review!

2. What will I read next?

Starry NightsWild Cards (Wild Cards, #1)

So I have both of these right now in my possession as part of a blog tour – but which to read first.. This might sounds nuts but I need to have both read by 7/29 when I need to mail them out — Any suggestions on what should come first??

3. What did I just finish reading?

Rule (Marked Men, #1)by Jay Crownover

I absolutely loved this book – great writing and story and hot romance! I can’t wait to read the second book – “Jet” which I will right after I’m done with my 2 current blog tour books – it’s already on my Kindle and ready to go!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Let me hear what you’re reading – what you want to read – or what you’ve just read. And if you have comments on what I’m reading – tell me that too!

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading? • What did you recently finish reading? • What do you think you’ll read next?

1. I am currently reading “Tangled” by Emma Chase and loving it. I’ve never read anything quite like this before – it’s funny and hilarious and I really love the main character who is actually a man.. Just love the way the story is told! Hot and hilarious – great combo!

Tangled (Tangled, #1)

2. What did I read before this? Sadly enough i’m really having to think about this – that’s how crazy with work and travel things have been.. hmm.. it was “Dare You To” by Katie McGarry and I Loved it!

Dare You To (Pushing the Li...

3. What will I read next? Well my TBR list, as most of yours, is insane! But I just got my netgalley approval of “The Marriage Merger” by Jennifer Probst and I’m super excited so I feel like this will be next!

The Marriage Merger (Marria...

I’ve been on a bit of a shopping spree lately and I have 4 or 5 books i’m dying to read, but this was way up there and getting to read it early is SUPER exciting, so I feel pretty safe saying it’s next. If you haven’t read anything by Probst before – check her out – LOVE her books!

So that’s it for me and my WWW Wednesday – how about all of you? What are your WWW’s? Leave your link below or if you don’t have a blog just answer along! Love to hear what’s going on with you!

Hey Guys! I had a great book week – and had some awesome finds! Check them out! Let’s hear what you found too – if you blog, share your link below and if not just share your finds in the comment section! Let’s get to it!

As you can see, I’ve been doing a lot of “looking” and “shopping” online for books I honesstly do not need since my TBR list is already so FULL! I love reading everyone’s reviews and then I see stuff, I HAVE to have, so my other reads get bumped – does anyone else have this happen? Then all of a sudden, my whole list is out of control..again.. But I will not complain because having too many exciting books to read is never a bad thing for me! I’ll eventually get to everything, right?

I’ve had a fairly LONG week – so TGIF everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend and of course I can’t let you go without some food for that brain!!

So – here’s a pretty awesome quote about reading (you all know I have a quote obsession..) —

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

Dr. Seuss

Happy Friday everyone! I know I want to go a lot of places, so let’s get reading – and tell me what you’re reading – what did you find! Love to hear from you – so talk!
