Monday Musing – July 22nd

MusingMondays5Hosted by Should Be Reading @ http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/2013/07/22/musing-mondays-july-22/

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• Describe one of your reading habits. • Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s). • What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it! • Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it. • Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us! • Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

———–

I have been sitting here wondering what I should “rant” about today — I was going to rant about how busy I am and how crazy I’ve been trying to get everything done but that’s boring — So instead I’m going to absolutely YELL about how EXCITED I am that “Panic” by Lauren Oliver is officially available for review copy on Edelweiss. I sent the request for my copy yesterday and I am crossing my fingers I get to read it — Now that I know it’s out there I will just go insane if I have to wait until March 2014 – I mean SERIOUSLY!! I need it now, like five minutes ago…

Anyway – I’m done yelling and screeching now..I guess i can go back to my normally scheduled work day. Tell me what you think – what you’re reading or what you want to rant about – love to hear from you all!

Hope Everyone has a happy Monday!

  1. Do you like Edelweiss? I have used Net Galley and am feeling so-so about it. I have had issues downloading books onto my daughter’s kindle. I know, I should give in and get my own. Is Edelweiss easy to use?

    • Hmm. Edelweiss I think is a little more difficult to use and to be honest harder to get approved for books. I only get approved there like 1/4 books so for me I don’t favor it as much. i’m much more likely to get approved for stuff on Netgalley for whatever reason.. I will agree on getting it to DL but Edelweiss uses the same system. I use a Kindle too and sometimes I have to send the email multiple times to the kindle to have it download. Are you senditng it via emal to the kindle? I think that is the easiest way..

  2. I love netgalley and edelweiss. And have more books than one person needs..lol

    • totally agree here! I am under water with so many books – but I’m kind of in a slump right now, the past 2books i have “really” wanted i didn’t get approved for, t hat’s the only thing I don’t like.. But for the most part awesome resources!

  3. I like both and sometimes I get a book I really like and sometimes I don’t. Here is mine: MM

  4. I have heard about Eledweiss but I havent tried requesting ebooks from them, hoowever, I do request ebooks from Netgalley
